Flyer design

Let's talk about flyer design.
First when I order it I paid 60£ for designing and 120£ or somthing like that for 2000 flyer. That was RUBBISH, TRASH,S@IT.
Those guys was not honest I have no single call, and wasted £££. If you need a good flyer design go to fiverr.com and you will find some extra value designer who can deliver quality design with modification if required for 3£!!!  They are good!!!   Not really worth to design by yourself and spend hours/days to try.

Sorry for not writing for a while.:) 
Well, the last time I talk about marketing. As I said my experience is the mouth of word is the best but when you have free time to spread flyers, YES this is worth it. Better to do any marketing than do nothing.
From after next weekend will start post flyers and let's see how is going nearly after a year. My main goal to post 5000 Flyers for 3-4 weekends.  If I choose the right area will result 20-50 new customers. Hope the best!!!

Marketing personal experience

Flyers: It is good sometimes but on this method nedds time. For example: spread out my last leaflet on january for gutter cleaning, and got some call on last week!!!! WOW!  I posted more than 1500 leaflet and all together gain 10-15 jobs. It is not bad but not really good.

Mouth of word:  Mostly When work all the neighbours calling me within a short time. specially for gutter and conservatory cleaning. It happen during in May, I cleaned a conservatory for a very nice gentleman, within 2 weeks I done the all Close!!!  Well done job is the best advertising!:)

My personal experience is the marketing is the key.   But HOW????    Flyers? net? advertising? newspaper? canvassing?
Well, I think the internet marketing and mouth of word is the best. Last year I tried flyers, canvassing but so little success, that I almost closed the business before actually started.

How hard to start???

I read a lot on internet how the gutter cleaning companies are working and which tools they are using and what is really worth to invest. Well, I made some general mistakes like everyone. I bought a gutter vacuum system for 600£, a camera system around 120£ generator for 400£. That was totally useless at this point because for the next 3 months I go 1 job!!!!!
I sold it straight away.  Might be next year I need another one but that point definately doesn't worth to keep. No customers, no effective marketing.

After a month break let's go on the story. Sorry for this break but I was quite busy. So, When I gave up my last job I thought a lot which business would be beneficial within a short time. First, I would like to start a business with mobile car valeting with monthly subscription. It looked first quiet a good idea and added like an extra service window cleaning. When checked the market and looked around a little bit more orientated I realisedthat wouldnt work so after a couple weeks more searching I started the window gutter and patio cleaning (pressure washing).

How did I start. Part III.

In 2012 September or october I sent a week holiday with my 3 son, when I went back to work I was surprised how many things change. My,,friends'' started to organize how they can remove me from my position because one of my collegues come with another guy in the same car so they want to share the expenses. That situation was really disguasting. I helped this guy so many times and he sold our good relationship for might be 15£/month. So pathetic!!!
On christmas eve, I work again but talked to supervisor to not accepting any over time because want to be with my family and they never paid correct money for  overtime. He said no problem . That was the first time to refuse overtime, and next week I was shifted to another round, 2 days later I gave up before do anything wrong with this gentleman. :)
